Apparently they do. They are looking at it , although I am not sure what they will be able to tell since it is all ground up before it's sucked out. So, yes ...it will have an autopsy!

Tessa,

Easprin is just a brand name for asprin, so yes, it is definitely an NSAID, and there is a very good chance that it is causing your problems. I'm sorry that your doctor did not warn you about this.

Tex

Hi Cristi

Thank you for joining the post and for sharing your experience.
I read your post about it all through and it seems you have suffered a lot.
But I am glad that you finally found the reason of all your pain.

I agree with you Cristi, but I have had so many different tests... How could something like this pass by?... Well, you could explain a lot about it and I know from your own experience (and mine) that some doctors make mistakes...

When I was a child I suffered from abdominal pain. My GP told me I should never eat bananas, fried eggs and chocolate.
When older and feeling much better, I started eating everything I wanted (and as I love bananas, fried eggs and chocolate... )

One day I ate a lot of chocolate (and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT). I woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible pain on my right side (upper right). We went to the ER and they thought I had appendicitis.
I had surgery and it was removed.
They sent me home the following day.

That night, I had an extremely high fever and accute pain.
We returned to the ER but they were unable to find the reason.
At least it was known that the removal of my appendicitis was not necessary... (though too late).

Thanks God, after 1 month in bed at home, I recovered.

I would be telling many different stories about my health and some seem similar to what you have mentioned... There is a possibility of having the same problem, but I do not want to go through more aggressive tests...

I went through a similar experience in 2001 and got into Hospital for about 20 days. Utrasound tests on my gallbladder were fine... We never knew what the problem had been...

But thank you for giving me a light. I´ll think about it.

Thank you for caring, Cristi.

Tessa

 :???:

Thank you, Tex.

I have been taking Easprin for nearly 1 1/2 year (sometimes even 3 a day)
I stopped with it in December, but I could be facing the consequences...

Bad news but thank you for telling me

Hi Tessa,

I am so sorry you have been having this since childhood. I, too , had been having these attacks since I was a child. The only thing I did differently this time was to go to the ER while it was going on, unlike before when I would suffer through it and make an appointment and then when I got to the appointment I was no longer having symptoms. My gallbladder looks fine when I am not having an attack...so it would never had been discovered.

But you now have something to help...since Tex has found out about the aspirin and how it aggrevates your MC symptoms. For myself..if one GI symptom is sick I think the rest feel sick as well. Hopefully if you get the MC to stop acting up the rest will calm down as well. I'm sending prayers that you will be feeling better soon.

Love,
Cristi

Hi Tessa!

I'm glad to hear from you. Sorry your are not feeling well. You need to do whatever it takes to feel better. Unfortunately, it isn't fun going to the ER but if you have to go to feel better sooner, please go!

Wishing you a speedy recovery. Keep us posted.

Love,
Mars

Hi Tessa,

I also wanted to let you know that if you think it's your gallbladder...I was very unusual. Most people with gallbladder disease will have stones which are visible with a painless, noninvasive, simple ultrasound. Most likely you wouldn't need a lot of complicated expensive tests to determine if it's your gallbladder that is causing your pain. I hope you will be feeling better soon.

Love,
Cristi

Mars & Cristi (and all the members who have read my post and send me good vibs) :bigbighug:

Thank you for caring about me. :pulsinghearts:

After sleeping for about 11 hours and waking up late, I felt quite better this morning. There was no need going to the ER. The abdominal pain was gone

Because of this, we have been doing some shoppings this morning instead of going to the ER. I have no abdominal pain any more, a slight discomfort sometimes, but it is far better than these previous days.

Thank you for being worried, for your information, support and for sending good vibs. I am sure it has been of great help. :flowersmiley:

Cristi, I had many invassive tests not long ago to determine my health problems. One of the tests was the ultrasound, but I went through other tests (really aggressive) They said that my gallbladder was fine. No stones... I was also very ill when I went to the specialist but it was all gone when the tests were carried out. BTW, do you feel/felt an accute pain when they place the transducer (for the abdominal ultrasound) on your upper right part of the body?

I am still trying to look for another health problem I have, but that´s a long story (the reason of having taking Easprin for so long and a beta blocker nowadays). I have an app. with a cardiologist on Friday.
I am looking forward to meeting him/her and hope to find a cardiologist who has the knowledge to help me.

Will keep in touch,
Love,
Tessa :pulsinghearts:

Hola Tessa,

So relieved to hear that you are better. I was so worried about you. Enjoy your day to the fullest! I'll be interested to hear what the cardiologist has to say.

Love and a :bigbighug:

Hi Tessa,

I felt discomfort when they pressed on my upper right abdomen...but not sharp pain. Part of the pain I felt was from the swelling...it pressed on my ribs and through to my back. Since I didn't have stones...I can only guess that the pain I was having was not the usual ...trying to pass a stone...but rather from it not functioning correctly. It mixes and concentrates bile and other things and releases it into the stomach when you eat fat. I think sometimes that process is not happening correctly and it is releasing a toxic brew into my stomach. I was experiencing a burning painful stomach and tons of gas and nausea. The source of the gas felt like it was originating in my upper right abdomen. It sounds like an ordinary stomach ache...but it was horrendous...couldn't even stand up straight. Then the next morning it would be like it had never happened....only to begin again after dinner. The only other thing to consider is that an ultrasound can see stones but not usually sludge or tiny stones which can also cause problems.

I hope none of this rings familiar to you and that whatever it was is gone forever. Good luck with your visit to the cardiologist.

Love,
Cristi

Thank you Polly for worrying about me
A :bigbighug: for you too,

Hi Cristi

Some of the things you mention are familiar to me, but not others (the most important ones, I would say). Therefore - even though I do not rule things out without the appropriated tests- I do not think I have the same problem.

It sounds really painful. I am so sorry about you. Are you feeling better Cristi? Did you have surgery?

I am looking forward to seeing the cardio on Friday. Hope she/he knows more than the last one...

Hello Tessa, glad that you are feeling a bit better. Some of the tests that they come up with are not very nice, I know.

Love
