I am the same way as you are about animals. Don't feel that you should put yourself down for your strong feelings about sick and injured animals!! I would be devastated if one of mine were that sick!! I went through a very bad illness with my parrot. Turned out that the ointment on my arm was making him sick.

I just want to say that you should be proud of your feelings, not ashamed.
Animals are a wonder and we should be very proud that they want to be in our lives.

Still grieving over my little budgie, butterhead, nine years now. I still can't stand to look at a picture of him or his little toy ball. Now that probably sounds crazy to some, but it's true. No denying your emotions!!

Jaco, a parrot in Salzburg, could not only speak but seemed to understand grammar. Whenever his person left, Jaco would say "God be with you." But when several people were departing, Jaco would change it to "God be with all of you."
