Morning Polly,

I eat very little dairy any more. (1) 6 oz. non-fat yogurt 2 to 3 times a week because it is a quick desk breakfast and maybe an ounce of cheese a week. The problems are always there and not just when dairy is eaten. I have taken periods to test the dairy abstinence since in many ways I am like you and it has not made a difference. When I did the 6 to 9 mg of Entocort daily it was like a new world. Maintaining however is not proving so. Will just keep on keeping on and hopefully this will resolve itself some day.

Love, Maggie

Thanks for the tip, Dee.

Never heard of Panda Puffs. Are they by any chance GF also?

Tex
Yes to both. But be careful of the Rice Chex and read the label as there is still old product on the shelf that contains malt. The new one does not and is labeled as such.

Yesterday we were out of town for lunch and dinner

B: bacon nitrate and nitrite free, eggs, slice of Anna's bread (It's really good, thanks to this board for suggesting it)

L: Taco Cabana, Fajita's, I only ate the meat and beans and some guacamole.

D: Outback, steak, veggies no seasoning or butter, and baked potato dry.

Today:

B: bacon, eggs, Anna's bread

L: cooked banana, pork chop, Veggie crisps (Like potato chips)

D: Salmon patty, (Thanks, Polly, for the suggestion to use baked potato in them. They were delicious!) and brussel sprouts.

Pat,

Have you found a local store, (or bakery), that carries Anna's bread already baked, or are you baking your own?

The only store in Texas that carries freshly baked bread, (from Anna), according to her website, is located in Plano, and they bake the gluten, corn, dairy, and yeast free version. With all the bakeries in Fredericksburg, I keep wondering if any of them might offer it, but I haven't been there in years, so I've never checked that out.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Tex,

I bake my own. I even have a hard time finding the mix. I have only found the mix at Sun Harvest and only the one with yeast. It's not cheap either - over $9.00/pkg. To order it online it is $5 + and then over $8 shipping!
