Hi Dee....here's my 2cents worth about effexor XR....it does take a while for it to reach therapeutic levels in your body....3 weeks or even more....so much depends on how depleted your brain chemistry is; however, I think you will begin to see some signs of it working soon...it may not be aha!!now I'm OK...but more days of a lighter spirit and more hours of hopefulness. This is a very good med for those it helps which is most. Having the extended release is great as it will ensure a steady release all the time....i'm pulling for you!! :smile:
