I have developed epiretinal membranes in both eyes. Everything, especially lights, looks smeared in oil. Have no idea if it's from Entocort but I see the opthamologist this week. Good timing.
Also have sleep apnea

I'm going to the ophalmologist in 2 weeks because of problems with my eyes. I had no idea it could be related to MC.

I get recurrent mild conjunctivitis, dry eye alternating with runny eyes, itchy eyes, swollen eye lids, etc. I thought it was all allergy related or another consequence of old age. I too have eye drops of every kind; allergy, wetting, tears etc.

Thanks Harma for bringing this to everyone's attention.

Just to add a warning to the topic of MC and eye-related issues, I was diagnosed 20 years ago with iritis and have been taking prednisone eye drops during flares ever since. Streesful events and even flying brings on a flare almost predictably so. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with cataracts a few years back and I was bewildered thinking I was way too young to have those already. I then learned that the prednisone caused the cataracts and in the near future I will have to have them removed.

Prednisone is a bad thing for treatment unless absolutely necessary. Now, being GF, SF, DF for only about 2 months I haven't had a single iritis flare. Hmmmmmmmmm........think there is a conncection to diet and inflammatory and autoimmune diseases? A big, hell yeah!

I've been using lotemax & restasis and my eyes still burn and hurt every night. Not sure what to do but will keep with it, at least for now.
