Deb and dfpowell,

The pad is my favorite earthing item. It is what I began using and still notice the most improvement with. I use the earthing pad most for joint and muscle pain relief. I walk most days, and play tennis from time to time. hard court tennis in particular really beats up my knees. It used to cause me to hobble around after play for a few days. I figured at some point it would become to much and I'd need to give up the sport.

When I began grounding with the earthing pad, I placed my feet onto the pad after tennis play. Not long afterwards I could feel a tingling in my feet. The tingling then slowly worked its way up my body in short order. After around 30 minutes the pains in my knees were pretty much gone. I also felt energized a bit.

For sleep, I've personally been disappointed with the bed sheets and pillow case. They might help. I just purchased the new all silver pillow cases and have been using it. I'm not sure if it helps or not. Out of curiosity in the past I tried experimenting with the knee pain after tennis. A couple times after playing tennis in the evening, instead of grounding on the earthing pad, instead I hobbled into bed. When I awoke the knee pain was still with me. It made me wonder about the helpfulness of the sheets.

Anymore when in bed I place an earthing patch onto the palm of my hand. Sometimes I'll even place it onto the bottom of a foot, on the acupunture point. It's a little awkward at first, but since doing that have noticed I feel looser, more energetic in the morning, and typically experience sound sleep, with many dreams.

The earthing book that comes with the pad mentions earthing barefoot outside is best. It is though this to be the case due to the safety resister used on their earthing goods. I've found that true. Outside barefoot walking does work the best. I live in S. Florida and I've noticed a curious effect. For my walks anymore I'll travel along a beach shore, barefoot with ocean water lapping over my feet. I can go on and on with my beach walks, easily over an hour and not feel tired and warn out. My older walks, wearing shoes and along sidewalks, I'd last for around 30 to 40 minutes and feel winded afterwards.

With the new beach walks I've noted not only being able to walk much longer, I also sleep best at night.

About the only time I don't sleep well anymore is when my stomach is acting up. When it's aches I don't sleep. Otherwise I've been resting soundly at night since I began earthing, with the different methods available.

Blueberry, I've been following earthing info for quite a while and know that I feel better when outside and barefoot. I live in a condo in MN though so that doesn't happen enough.
Donna, this is the mat that I ordered. http://products.mercola.com/earthing-mat/ Blueberry, is there a reason I couldn't sleep on this? I've heard that if you even just have your legs exposed you can get some benefits.

Sure, I imagine it possible to sleep on the pad and receiving benefit. The article posted earlier about the football quarterback from Greenbay, Wi mentions him resting on the earthing pad. It's just something I've noticed personally, receiving more noticeable results when using the grounding items I have on acupuncture points such as on the bottom of my feet. It's something to experiment with.
