Carol, I agree. It is a lot of back and forth for your emotions. Some days are better than others. Like you said, the mornings are the worst and I, too, usually cannot stomach food until at least 9-10am at the earliest. While being on the 9mg Budesonide the last two months (before trying to taper) my appetite was pretty good and I had gained back 5lbs in the last two-three weeks of those months. Which made me happy to see my body getting nourishment again. I'm hoping that going back up to the 9mg, that I will see the same improvement. I'll go ahead and buy that turkey bacon and try it out. I do miss bacon so hopefully this will help my appetite in the mornings and I can get some extra calories and protein. I have some of the Earth Balance soy free butter in my fridge. I used a little to make a simple mashed sweet potato "casserole" for Thanksgiving. It had a good flavor and I enjoyed the sweet potato dish. No bad reaction that I recall. I haven't had it since because I know some of us don't tolerate pea protein well. But maybe once I am farther into my recovery, I can try it again. My husband has been wonderful during this whole thing. I am very lucky to have such great support in my corner. I don't know what I would do without him <3 I will stay in touch, hopefully with better news next time as I continue on my healing journey. I hope you have a very merry Christmas!

Tex, thank you. As always, I know we all immensely value your input and the time you take to answer all our questions. I am taking a magnesium and vitamin d-3 supplement (Doctors Best brand). I am up to 200mg of magnesium a day which I hope to increase to 300-400mg as I have seen others recommend on this site. I am working towards that amount slowly so that I don't cause the D to potentially worsen. So far I have seemed to tolerate it well. Merry Christmas!
