Hi Jen,jen wrote:Does anyone know where i can buy chicken bones to make bone broth? My poor husband when to three markets and they all said no. And i know its so much better to make your own, but is there any product out there that i can buy that don't contain any ingrdients besides bones and water? Every label i see states rosemary extract, onion powder, garlic powder etc. Just getting desperate for some sort of broth or soup without additives.
Thanks so much
Jen
Go to some ethnic markets--Asian--Hispanic etc. Many times they have a more traditional butcher and you can get bones.
Also, ask around locally.
My hairdresser gave me a lead on a butcher shop in rural north Florida. They have been butchering cows since
the 1920's for resale in the same building but due to federal government regs they cannot resell bones or meat for human consumption. All of their products are stamped for pet consumption only.
Tex or anyone. I just wrote to my GI and told him that i have NO DIARRHEA or NO PAIN,its just brutal nausea. I asked him if maybe it was candida overgrowth, as i have oral thrush. I also asked him if maybe he thought it was a defienceincy in mag/ vit, and should i be tested I want answers to why i have had nausea for 5 weeks.I also told him i went gluten free, dairy free, soy free and sugar free. His response was "you have been diagnosed with lymphocytic colitis. No further testing is needed. My recommendation is you start the Uceris, the benefits out weigh the risk." I just wanted an answer to where the nausea is coming form. i do not want to start a steroid when i react to every drug i take. Im sure a steroid will only make the thrush worse plus bring on a whole slew of problems i don't need. What will Uceris due for the nausea? Any advice from the experts.
Thank you, Jen

Hi Jen,
Sounds as though your gastroenterologist's answer could be summed up as, "I don't have the slightest idea what's causing your nausea."
I don't know why Uceris would relieve nausea. For that job, doctors usually prescribe H1, H2, or H3 antihistamines, or a combination, not steroids. The main problem with Uceris is, despite the LC diagnosis, if you don't have diarrhea, budesonide (Uceris) will cause constipation. Then you'll have a much bigger problem. So Uceris would definitely be contraindicated anyway. At least that's my opinion.

I 100% agree Tex. Thanks so much for the response. I have lost faith in my GI, although a very nice man, he doesn't have a clue. And refuses to check my levels after i have asked him twice. I'd be fine if it weren't for this nausea, started ancient minerals mag lotion a few nights ago but i know thats not going to be enough. Just too scared to take it orally at this stage. I appreciate and respect your views, thank you, Tex!

Hi Tex, This is what my GI said when i asked if maybe i had candida overgrowth (oral thrush wont go away either) hence causing all this nausea "The only fungal infection that effects the GI tract is candida of the esophagus and that causes swallowing problems, not nausea. I still think the Budesonide will help the nausea and increase your appetite." I give up! Just ordered your book, it will be here tomorrow.

Unless you were to get a skin irritation I don't see why you could not do this daily.jen wrote:Hi Brandy, Thank you so much. How often can i do the epsom salt foot soak?
Jen
The magnesium oil makes my skin itch so I can't use that option.
I've taken epsom salt body baths 4 nights in a row with no problem.
I could probably do the epsom foot baths daily.
Some companies cover it only if a doctor orders the tests, and some will reimburse a patient who orders tests directly, if they send in the proper insurance codes for the tests. And I assume there are probably some insurance companies that will not pay for these tests, but that's only a guess. You can call or email EnteroLab and they will give you the correct insurance codes for the tests you order, then you can call your insurance company to see if the tests are covered.
