Last summer I convinced my doctor to try Rifaximin on me: it had no effect, BUT he prescribed the dosage standard for traveler's D. The tests that show good results on IBS patients in studies are with a higher dosage, and I think for a slightly longer time period. So research the dosage before you start a trial, because I believe it may make a difference.

Also, I didn't start with a cleanout, or follow up by using a probiotic. I haven't found one yet that doesn't GIVE me D. (even Bubbies saurkraut)
