Mary Beth,

I'm so glad to hear that you are doing well despite the recent challenges at work. You just never know with MCAD if something will set you off. Here's hoping that you continue to do well and that tilt test is a long, long way off!

The medicine question is quite a saga at this point as I seem to have fewer and fewer symtpom free days. In addition to the zyrtec/zantac combo I started on hydroxyzine. I've started having episodes of pretty significant tremors which are relieved by benzos, but of course, they have all kinds of tolerance issues, so it's a dilemma. One of the comments Dr. Afrin made in his report was that it will probably take a good deal of trial and error with medications to get the right combo given my vast array of symptoms. So, I'm preparing myself for the long haul until we get the right combination.

Hope all goes well with your office move and that you continue to be symptom free!!!

Best,

Julie

Julie,

I experienced tremors with atenolol, a beta blocker. I agree with Dr. Afrin - we are all different in what we can tolerate (just look at me and the flu shot, when other mast cell patients do fine with it).

I'm sorry your symptoms are getting worse, but at least you have a good doctor who is willing to work through these issues.

Hugs,

Mary Beth
