Hi Bea!
How are you feeling? Better, I hope.
Stools can be yellow because of a rapid transit time through the GI tract. There is not enough time for them to fully "mature", to get that brown color. This would probably be the most likely reason for those of us with MC.
Love,
Polly

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Hi Bea,
The reason that Polly listed is the most likely one for someone in your situation.
Do you have GERD? People who have GERD sometimes have yellow stool. Yellow stool can also result from insufficient bile output. If bile output is reduced even more, the stool color may become pale, or grey. The most likely reason though, is rapid transit time, as Polly said.
When I was reacting, my stool color was usually light yellow, sometimes grey, sometimes greenish. Celiac disease can cause this.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
hey polley and tex
tex, what is ERGE?
Today I go to the doctor, but do not expect me to say anything new. I think I need medication for my colitis.
lately I'm very nervous, and I have a symptom that worries me, I have palpitations in the abdomen (as if my heart was in the abdomen) yesterday it was very swollen and even for me to breathe.
kisses

Bea,
GERD stands for GastroEsophageal Reflux Disease. Many of us with MC have this problem.

A few other members have reported palpitations in the abdomen, such as you describe. This may be due to spastic muscle contractions in the small intestine.
The most effective medication for MC seems to be Entocort EC, (budesonide), and it will control the inflammation sooner than most of the other drugs that GI docs prescribe. If I were in your situation, and I wanted to try a medication, I would ask my doctor to prescribe Entocort EC.
Good luck with the doctor,
Love,
Tex
