been going thru this for about 2 weeks. 1 week no prednisone and 1 week with prednisone and gonna start monday as week 2. thought i was gonna be able to lower it but i think it gonna stay on 3 still having cramps and b.m at least 2 or 3 times a day.

Weeks can seem like months/years during a flare. Don't back off on the prednisone unless you are ready. I hate taking medications as nothing is without side effects, but I think my doctors have finally beat into me that it's actually better for healing to take the meds when you need them and lower the general stress level of the body than to not take the meds and "deal with it".
