I'm thinking that at least one member might be on it now, but I can't recall who it might be, offhand. In the past, quite a few members have tried it at one time or another. Casein is usually the "glitch" in the SCD, for most people with MC, I believe, (and possibly all IBDs). Here are some past threads, where the diet is discussed by those who have tried it:

This member's son has UC, and I would assume that he is on the SCD right now - hopefully, she'll give us an update, one of these days:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

Hi there,
I tried it - matter of fact, it was the first of the diets that I tried to help the D; before I even knew I had MC. I knew I was on the right track, because it helped me. But it didn't help me enough. The recipes using almond flour are still staples for me, though. (because I have a problem with all grains, not just wheat)

Some of her tips are really good, such as eating foods that are quasi-pre-digested, like canned, creamed or cooked foods rather than fresh-with-all-the-fibers-unsoftened foods. She recommends almond flour made with skinned almonds, for instance, because the fiber in the skins is irritating, at least at first.

By the way, the diet was developed for her daughter, and her daughter isn't "cured" if she goes off the diet.

Hope this is helpful, Marsha

Hello.
The best i've ever felt over my 10 years of mc was on the sc diet - i did it for years. only in the past couple of years have I begun to 'cheat' now and then, with bad results- I'm back here now because I'm having trouble. Please excuse my typos- I'm typing with a cat on my lap and she's half on the keyboard.
