OMA!!!!
I am having SO much fun doing show and tell with one of the rattle snake tales you sent me. It's really funny to see the different reactions of all the people here in the office. Some are facsinated (like me) and some are grossed out - go figure.
Love ya!

I lived in Phoenix (a few times) and rattle snakes were abundant there! Many people made a living catching them for restaurants. Guess they taste good! YUK, IMO! Never tasted them, I just formed my own opinion based upon assumption! LOL
Personally, I have no use for snakes. Snakes and "crunchy" bugs (one's that crunch when you step on them) are two things I can do without.
Another nitnoid - I am highly allergic to the saliva (for lack of a better word) to insects. When bitten, I swell the size of silver dollars and/or break out into hives. Anyone else have that problem?

They are fun aren't they? We don't move them off the road Tex until after we shoot them. We seem to have alot of them tho this year. One got caught in my dogs pen fence. I used to have a python and loved her...but rattlesnakes I do not like. Love Oma
May I be more compassionate and loving than yeterday*and be able to spot the idiots in advance
Mars,
Hahahahaha. When you mentioned "crunchy" bugs, I thought you were surely referring to the sensation you get when you bite down on one that has been deep fried, or something.
You apparently ARE pretty allergic to insect venum. You may need to start carrying a remedy such as benedryl tablets with you at all times, in case the reactions become progressivly worse.
By the way, rattlesnake tastes just like chicken. LOL. Not bad at all, but they have a lot of bones, of course, and if they get too fat, the meat can be kind of greasy.

I thought the same as Wayne did, Mars. Chocolate covered ants?
If rattlesnake tastes like chicken, why not just have chicken? I've never been able to understand that.
I liked what you said about rattlers, Xet, and especially how you said it.
Love,
Sally

Hi Sally,
Well, they don't really taste quite like chicken, though they are a little similar. They have kind of a unique rattlesnakey flavor. I was just repeating the old traditional answer about exotic meats. If someone asks about eating aligator, or armadillo, or whatever, the traditional answer is always, "they taste like chicken". LOL.
I'm like you. I'd just as soon eat chicken, if I'm looking for something that tastes like chicken. Most exotic meats of that sort are deep fried, and almost anything that is deep fried, tastes similar, especially the white meats.
Love,
Wayne
