Not sure there is a typical length of time for me. Now, at the first sign of D...... I simplify my food even more than usual, take immodium and a couple of pepto bismal........ and have found I can get back to ok after a few days (also I am still taking either 1 or 2 entocort a day).

Hope you get over yours soon, Ant

i am a relative newbie to MC. Since getting reasonable control, any flares normally last 2 days max. I dont take meds, i use diet to control. It can take about 4 - 5 days to feel normal again.

I am also relavtively new, but have had my first major flare and I am now in my 4th week. I also simplified my food and have taken Imodium for control. In the meantime I have also started acupuncture and I am trying L-Glutamine (GF, DF, SF YF). Something is working because I am making progress. There appears to be no simple answer as I have asked the same question. For me I have decided that I will take what I need to take to function. I am trying to avoid going back on Entocort but will if this does not resolved itself. Best of luck to you. Ginny
