Thank You for Your Love & Support
What a week this has been for my children and grandchildren, for myself, our family and friends. We've all shared moments of tears as well as laughter over years of memories and stories have been shared. There were even some surprises when someone let an unknown secret out that only David knew that he kept his word and never spoke of.
My husband and best friend of 37 yrs. was/is a remarkable man. I truly wish all of you could have met him. On Friday my son; William said it best with these words " My father always gave the best advise when I would go to him. He allowed me to speak for hours and when I would come to leave I felt great! My Dad gave me awesome guidance by just listening yet never spoke a word."
There is a very overwhelming loss I'm feeling right now and have no idea what I need to do to once again feel whole. My faith is my greatest comfort though I have to admit I have my moments when I'm unable to stop the tears. Faith is not believing that God can. It is knowing that God will.
Friday afternoon after the service and meal I received a call from our local florist asking if I would be at home as they had another delivery for me. I wish you could have been with me to see the reaction on my children's faces when the most BEAUTIFUL Peace Lily was delivered. OMG! It was so HUGE that you could hardly see the delivery man until he sat it down. LOL Our oldest daughter; Renee opened the card to see who it was from then called both William and Kara over. The 3 of them huddled together looking at this Peace Lily yet being dumb struck as they kept passing the card from one to the other. Giggle
"Mom, we're not sure what's going on with this plant and we hope this isn't some cruel joke. The card says 'Love, From Your Online Family, The Potty People' " Thank You All so very much for bringing tears to my eyes from laughter. I laughed so hard at kids reaction yet felt so much love in my heart for all my Potty People Family. Mars thought she had ruined a surprise by asking for my address. I'm here to tell you that the surprise was not spoiled. I was looking for a card to arrive and instead received this beautiful Peace Lily along with the element of surprise on the faces of my children.
Love & God's Blessings!!!!!!

David will always be remarkable to you and your family.
it will take time to adjust to David not being with you, there will be good days you want to share with him and bad days when you want him there, this is where your families will help you
like your tag line, life can tend to be day by day at the moment and that is totally fine.
take care

Jodi-
It's always so difficult for me to know what to say to someone when they lose a loved one. Even having been through it myself, it just seems like words are not enough to express how sad and sorry I am that you have to go through this.
It sounds as if you have wonderful family around to love and support each other. The week after the service can be the most difficult for some. The chaos of scheduling and coordinating things calms down, and the quiet when friends and family go back to their "normal" lives leaves ones mind to just think. Please remember to ask for help if you need it.
It's okay to cry. Tears of sadness, laughter, anger, whatever. There's no need to apologize or feel bad when the tears won't stop. Let them flow.
I'm thinking about you and praying for you and will continue to do so.
