slippery elm has been great for me... we'll see

Post by Laurie »

Well, I know everyone is different, but I have to say I think Slippery Elm (I could only find capsules although I know it comes in bark and in tea, and something else I think) has really helped me lots.

I had quite a flare (turn on the faucet!) this past week, and after a few days of the Slippery Elm, I have dramatic improvement.

I'm just determined to get healthy. Very sick and tired of going on and off Entocort.

Been researching the alkaline/acidic balance. So interesting that when I'm flaring I tend to stay away from all the good things for my body (of course, since they have fiber). Leads to tired, depressed, lethargic, headaches, crabby, etc....

I may try adding a probiotic again (although in the past that was not a good result). If I stay a bit stable for a few days I'm going to try a different one.

I hate the thought of not being healthy forever.

Thanks for all the sharing on the board. I read it even when I'm not responding. 3 little kids keep my hopping!

I'll be interested in what you find.
