That's funny, Miss BN. I was watching CNN this morning and I knew you aere going to get that a**-kicking storm before you did. I'm sorry for the loss of trees, but I am glad it has finally cooled off a little for you.

It's 95 here. . I am in the house with the AC running full blast and I go out as little as possible. Do all my errands in the morning.

Lots of love,

Moi

Hi Sally,

I don't rember ever running across any smileys for "chotchkes". What would they look like?

Tex,

They are nick-nacks - useless things that we need because they are cute, pretty, or just because.

Sally, what does a chotchske smiley look like in your mind?

Love,
Karen

LOL. That's a pretty tall order, but I'll keep my eyes peeled.

Heard about the storm

Post by Momster »

Hi Barb:

Yes, I heard about the storm - I have a friend in Philidelphia and they were hit with one too. She didn't get much sleep, to say the least.

I agree with you Sally - get the errands done in the morning and stay in the cool the rest of the day. I was out on the scooter until noon, but it wasn't too bad until later around 2:00 - then time to stay in. We don't have A/C, but don't need it in the position our condo is - fans do the trick.

I'm still sewing and just finished a top for Peg and now working on another one for me. It's such a pleasure to be able to get what I want and it fits right. Wish I'd learned this sooner, but guess I just wasn't ready.

Anyway, glad to hear you're okay, Barb. Take care.

Love - Momster

Hi Barb,

The Philadelphia area got it to and the winds were especially high. Being on the country outskirts west of it, we were not quite as bad.

Love, Maggie
