It appears that the U. S. Supreme Court may rule against people, (kids), who are severely harmed by vaccines. Note the rationale of one Chief Justice:
Well Duh! The problem is not allowing lawsuits for dangerous vaccines - the problem is a convoluted justice system that allows such ridiculously high amounts to be awarded. In Texas, and roughly two dozen other states, there is a cap on such awards, so that comment by Chief Justice Roberts appears to be not much more than a cop-out. Note this paragraph concerning Wyeth, the drug company named in this particular lawsuit:“It doesn’t take too many $60 million verdicts to make you come out on the other side of your calculus,” Chief Justice John Roberts said to the lawyer representing the parents.
Is anyone surprised that the current administration would back the drug companies in this fight, after all the wheeling and dealing that was done behind the scenes to get the drug companies to back the so-called Health Care Reform Bill?Wyeth, acquired last year by New York-based Pfizer, is one of four companies that supply vaccines for the U.S. market. The other three -- units of GlaxoSmithKline Plc, Merck & Co. and Sanofi-Aventis SA -- filed a brief urging the court to rule in Wyeth’s favor. The Obama administration is also backing Wyeth.

So now, it appears that we can add kids hurt by dangerous vaccines, to the list of people who will be ripped off by Big Pharma, thanks to the recent health care reform legislation.
