Polly,
I do not understand retinol versus beta carotene. Do you mean 2330 units of retinol only and no beta carotene? My vitamins express the units as 60% vitamin A acetate, 40% beta carotene. Is the acetate "retinol"? The total amount is 5,000 units, so I need to replace it anyway. Can you recommend a brand with the correct amount and type of A with no iron? Thanks
Vitamin A

Hi Temple,
Vitamin A in the form of retinol is stored in the body, while vitamin A in the form of beta carotene is not. Thus, probably any amount of beta carotene would be harmless, since it doesn't hang around and build up. So I did mean 2330 IUs of retinol only. The vitamin A acetate form of retinol in your pills is what is commonly used in supplements.
Sorry, I'm not knowledgeable about current vitamin preps for adults. But I'll bet others here can help!
Let me know if you have add'l. questions.
Love,
Polly
