Help with my Avatar

Post by littlemary »

I am trying to figure out how to put a picture of my little dog as my Avatar. The file size is too large, and it won't work. I figure there must be a way to lessen the file size, but I can't figure it out and I feel like my brain will explode if I think about it anymore!!

Send it to Tex and he'll take care of it.

Hi,

To do that, the image file has to be edited in an image editor. If you're not sure how to go about that, just e-mail me the photo, I'll be happy to convert it into an avatar, and upload it for you.

Just attach it to an e-mail. If you will click on the "email" button at the bottom of this message box, the system will open a window which will allow you to send me an e-mail. Just attach the image file to that e-mail.

Betty as my Avatar

Post by littlemary »

Tex, did you get my email about the Betty picture? I will have to check back later for directions, since we will be losing power soon here at work, (yes, I am supposed to be working!). Just didn't want you to delete me as spam!

Hi,

I just got home from work a little while ago, and yes, I did find your e-mail in the "spam cache" at my ISP, for some reason or other. (I always check it out, anyway, just to be on the safe side). As you can see, I did convert it into an avatar. If it's not what you had in mind, please tell me how you want it changed, and I'll try to correct it.

I removed your e-mail address from your post above, because a lot of "internet entrepreneurs" have bots out constantly searching the internet for e-mail addresses. They collect them and sell them to spammers.

Kari, thanks for telling me Betty is beautiful. We have a special connection. We are very closely bonded and there is something very special about her. Maybe it is because she is so fearful, and I have always had anxiety problems also, and we both have tummy problems!

Thanks, Tex, for helping me get Betty as my avatar. I love it!

Hi Elizabeth,

Sorry, I forgot to check my e-mail this afternoon.

I just uploaded your avatar without any modifications. It looks fine, but if that's not what you had in mind, please let me know, and I'll try to make any changes requested.

You're most welcome,
Tex

Well, Tex, I will send you my picture too if I can figure out how to get it from where it is to where it needs to be. Now that my DH is retired I use the laptop and all the pictures are on the other computer. I can't even get the pug avatar that I had in the beginning to stay where it was. I cannot post a reply using my desk top computer. It will not send it. I have to use the laptop if I want to post a reply or ask a question. Very weird. I always get rid of the cookies as you advised but something on the desk top computer blocks the reply function to the board. We have a lot of security on that computer because of problems recently. Thanks for all you do to help.
