I got my Entocort from Canada today

Post by explosive »

Hi,

I said I would post when my medicine arrived from Canada and it came today. I ordered it from northwestpharmacy.com on 01/07/11, it was shipped on 01/11/11 and I received it today on 01/26/11. They said it would take 8-18 days and it took 15 days. I guess I'm lucky it did not take longer. The only thing that was bad is that I needed 126 pills to fill my rx and they only had 100 ct and will not open the bottle to get odd amounts so now I have 26 pills on file with them. I guess I can use them next time. I will tell my GI I need my rx in counts of 100 from now on. They have a 60 count too and I could have gotten two of them but they were out of stock and I did not want to wait.

Just wanted to let everyone know. :bouncing:

Sharon that's great that they finally arrived. Are you just starting Entocort for the first time?

Hi!

I took it once before back in September. I was on it for 4 weeks and at the very end of the rx I actually had gotten down to d only 5-8 times a day instead of the normal 20-25 but as soon as it was out of my system it was back as strong as ever. I had some of the side effects the others have mentioned but the good for me far outways the bad. I take a 3 mg pill 3 times a day and the last time when I was out I just quit cold turkey. My GI did not say anything about cutting back slow. I have a new GI now as my old one left without even telling me and I think he seems to know more and care more so I am lucky. He works with a group of GI's at University of Kentucky Digestive Health Clinic.

Thanks
Sharon

That's great that you have found a good doctor Sharon

Best of luck on the Entocort, it is a pretty good med for this.

Take Care

Not to worry - that's where all of the reliable generic version of budesonide is manufactured. Believe it or not, Sun Pharmaceutical, (which I assume was the manufacturer of the product you received), manufactures generic verions of drugs for many/most of the big global pharmaceutical companies, (including U. S. companies), and you've probably used their products before, without even realizing it.

P. S. I don't recall who was concerned/complaining about slow delivery, but when orders are placed so that the shipment will end up in the Christmas Holiday "flood", one can always expect slow delivery, because customs will be swamped with packages to process, that time of year.

Then they are the same ones being used by many members, here. They are usually available at a lower price, (and without the need for a prescription), from an online pharmacy located in Cypress, I believe:

http://www.alldaychemist.com/1283_Entocort-EC

Many of our members order from there.

You're most welcome,
Tex
