Jumpin and a Jivin'!!! I can just picture you and Louie just rocking the night away. Did you Jive much? The only one I can Jive with is my baby brother. Last time was last summer at a dance up north, several beers, and feeling no pain, we closed the place. Next day, ohhhhh, I hurt, the next week I hurt. Just because of the fibro, its always the after effects of going beyond what I should. But it was such great fun!
Just one brother was missing, but my uncle was, (only 3 yrs older then me) and we did allot of dancing. They had a band that travels around, they did all the oldies, 50's and 60's music. The guys were dressed like back then, and the girls had the ponytails and bobbysocks and full skirts. It was just an amazing set up, must have had at least 20 or so in total in the band that could do all kinds of things. It was pretty neat. We had fun though.

He was a great leader and we just danced it up---how I miss that--

Amen, amen!! My favorite was the Stroll. I loved it. American Bandstand and all that. Did your full skirt have a poodle on it? And remember the days of the starched petticoats? No, that wasn't during the Civil War!! Just the 50's.
Bill Hayley and the Comets. Chuck Berry. JERRY LEE LEWIS!! And, of course, Buddy Holly. Were we ever that young??
Love and
Sally

And like me if you were close to Philly, you got to go the American Bandstand. However, had to take a sweater with you to cover up the Catholic school uniform you had on. The nuns watched and you really caught it the next day.
Those were the days.
