Wendy!

Post by Umber »

My parents never encouraged college either. I was raised in Utah and if you weren't married by 20 you were and old maid. I was always a rebel....when we were at church for the teenagers on Wednesday night the girls were in class learning to make beds, cook, sew & be a good wife, the boys were in the gym playing basketball. I used to get soooo mad and sneak off to play basketball with the boys.

In my sophomore year I wanted to take Auto Mechanics. The teacher, principal and counselor had a fit. No girl had ever taken auto mechanics and they tried to steer me in the direction of Home Economics or sewing. I stood my ground and put up a fight. They gave in and I was in Auto Mechanics class and I ended up HATING it. Had to stick with it since I had raised such a stink about it.

Thank goodness we can raise our daughters to believe that they can do & be what ever they want! Support themselves, have fun and wait awhile before getting married and settling down.

Hugs!

Sorry Peg, this is not the "good wife" class you would want. I think you could find it in the dictionary under "submissive" I never would have made a "good wife" under those conditions, NEVER!

I can make one heck of a bed tho, right Sally? Hahaha!

Hugs!

Oh, my goodness, yes!! She takes the bottom of the top sheet in her teeth and crawls under the mattress with it!!! And the corners are so sharp you can cut yourself on them. Lori is the QUEEN of bedmakers. She's not very submissive, though. She orders poor Darryl around something awful. Hahahahahaha!!!!

Love,

Sally

It's a wonder she can push the "Submit" button on this Board!!!
