Wishful Thinking
Hi Buddies!
Just for fun, let's list the first 5 foods (in order of importance) that we are sensitive to and would like to be able to add back into our diets. Exclude the usual gluten, dairy, and soy.
Here's my list:
FD&C green dye #3 (HAHAHAHAHA, just kidding!)
tomato
almond
carrot
white potato
pork
Have a good day!

Blessed are they who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Great idea Polly - here is my list:
Coffee (because I love to wake up to the smell, taste and "rush" of it)
Yeast (because I love Udi's GF bread, bagels and muffins)
Banana (because it's my favorite fruit)
Corn (because it's in just about everything)
Eggs (because they are so useful)
When I first dropped coffee, I noticed that my SO stopped having it in the morning. I was so touched to learn that he was skipping it in "sympathy" with me. I thanked him for his thoughtfulness, but then insisted that he have it. So now I'm indulging in the smell, even though I can't taste it . Learning to be grateful for small pleasures ........
Love,
Kari

It's interesting to see how one's list can change depending on the choices. Three years ago, when I had identified only a few intolerances and was still eating many foods, my list would have looked like this:
Eggs
pizza
eclairs
Now, my intolerance list is much longer and I have a hard time limiting it to five foods. Here's a stab:
Fruit, including tomatoes
Chocolate
Eggs
Root vegetables, including potatoes
Squash
Beef and Chicken would also be high on the list, because with them, I'd be able to eat out more.
Gloria

Pizza - the one thing I miss the most
Fish - definitely second or a tie with pizza
Eggs - they make weekend morning breakfasts special, not to mention baked goods
Fresh Vegetables - I just love them
Coconut milk based icecream - only because I discovered it after years and years of not being able to have regular icecream
I don't know if I have a problem with corn or not, so this list may not be true.
