Court,
What a terrific report! Thank you for sharing your good news with us.
I am not sure why you would be nauseous in the mornings. I had terrible morning sickness which lasted day and night, but I've never had nausea with my MC. Hopefully someone with experience on it will post.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Hi Court,
So happy to hear your good news - thanks for sharing.
I'm wondering what you eat in the mornings? I have found that I cannot have anything "heavy", or I'll get very nauseous. Since I have so many intolerances, my choices are limited, but I cannot eat "left over dinner" as some of the others do. I generally have a cup of camomile tea half an hour or an hour before eating anything. That seems to be very soothing to my stomach. Then I may have some cream of rice cereal with a bit of home-made strawberry sauce or apple sauce.
Taking this approach short circuits the nausea for me. Hope this helps, but we're all so different, so what works for one does not necessarily work for someone else.
Good luck with your continuing recovery - keep us posted on how you do.
Love,
Kari

Hi Court,
Thanks for the upbeat post - it's great to read that you're making so much progress.
I had a lot of mornings with severe nausea, also, back when I was recovering. The nausea may slowly disappear, as your digestive tract continues to heal, (you apparently have gastric inflammation and possibly gastroparesis).
If you happen to lie on your right side, that can also cause the problem. To this day, I become nauseous, and risk acid reflux, if I lie on my right side. About a year ago, following surgery, I dropped off to sleep while lying on my right side. Roughly an hour later, I was rudely awakened by a mouth half-full of acid reflux. After that happened a couple of other times, to a lesser degree, I was concerned that I was developing GERD, but luckily, before I mentioned it to my doctor, (who surely would have prescribed a PPI ), it dawned on me what the problem was. The risk varies, depending on what and when I eat, but in general, I avoid lying on my right side, and as long as I do that, I don't have any problems with either nausea or reflux.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

wow - congratulations and thank you for sharing your joy!
It is pretty amazing that certain ingredients of our diet can have an impact on our wellness.
we may refer to your post in the future as one of the examples of what going gluten and dairy free can do!
take care
enjoy your energy and clear mind
