I haven't had a problem, but note a number of you are making reference to "losing" posts. I wonder if we can track down what exactly is doing this? Hitting an F key by mistake, letting it sit too long on screen, hitting the windows key while typing? Is it just the software doing it somehow?
Hopefully we can get to the bottom of this becuase I understand how frustrating it can be to lose something you've spent a lot of time typing.
I learned to hit the save key many times while working on Word docs. If the system crashes you won't lose everything if you do that regularly.

What's up with the "lost" posts?

Peg,
I tried to reply to your post a minute ago and received a "critical error" message! Scared me for a minute. I had to back out of the site and when I re-entered, everything was fine.
Hope it was just a glitch.

"Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful." -- Buddha
If the problem is with the board software, or the server, we need to track it down, so we can correct it, but that requires recording the details of exactly what is happening, which I realize is tough to do in the surprise of the moment.
For a long time, I was occasionally losing posts, and blaming it on the sofware. Since then, though, I've determined that I've been hitting combinations of keys that opened additional browser tabs, and various other things, and my posts weren't really gone, just hidden. Once in a great while, though, I'll hit a "fatal" key, which closes the browser, and the post is indeed gone, in that case. If the browser is still open, I've always been able to Locate my missing posts, either by hitting the "Back" button, or the "Forward" button, on my browser, or by clicking on the propper "Browser Tab"
Let me know if you can get some concrete evidence, that we can use to track down a possible problem.
Incidentally, Sally, if you're reading this, you once asked me how to open additional browser tabs, and I didn't know the answer at the time. I don't remember if I ever followed up with an answer, but with Mozilla, for example, another tab is opened if I key in Ctrl+T, and I'll bet that will work for most other browsers, also. Also, if you will look at the left end of the "Browser Tab Bar" that is positioned below your other tool bars, (after you have opened at least one additional tab), you should see a small icon that will open another browser tab, if you click on it. You can open as many tabs as you want. You will then have to click on the tab that correlates to the browser window that you want displayed, in order to get it back onto the screen.
Love,
Wayne
P S Mars, I got that critical error message a while ago, also. It means that the server couldn't access the database. Stuff like that makes my hair stand up, but presumbly, it was probably just temporarily overloaded.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Hi, Guys:
I think my "lost posts" were due to a new or revised "filter" at the office. I've only had problems sending posts from there, but not from home.

Diagnosed November 2004, Used Asacol and Lialda, sometimes worked, sometimes made it worse. Entocort always works but hate it. Remission only lasts 3-6 months and then back on Entocort. Enterolab test July 2017, now gluten free. Time will tell!
