Although it doesnt bring back all the lives -lost on 9/11---(from NYC--Pa. and DC)finally there has been some justice to all the families--who lost loved ones--

Us NOO YAWKERS have a favorite saying--when things have been avenged--but I wont type it in~~~~~

For me the last few days spell..... H.O.P.E.......... in a conflicted world.

1. A beautiful wedding. A symbol.....but surely a positive one (which also, incidentally, provided a net gain in tax receipts for the UK Exchequer - according to Bloomberg)

2. The beatification of Pope John Paul II, who has been criticized but, let's not forget, was an heroic figure in bringing freedom to Eastern Europe.

3. The end of OBL, twisted proponent of terror.

With these three major events in the world in the last few days.....will people see that what really matters in life is....HONOR, SPIRITUALITY, BRAVERY, HUMANISM, the search for TRUTH and plan old simple LOVE......Things that are miles away from twisted Philosophies, Envy or Cold, Calculating Cash?

So moving on from OBL (who is now assigned to the dustbin of history) I am sure there are people in the scientific world with values that are higher than money.....and, if so, we will get some genuine medical breakthroughs.

Ant you said it so well.

I am not a vengeful person but in this circumstance justice could only be the death of such a monster. We got a call very early this morning from Frank's daughter who was in tears that it was finally over. She lived through it and if you have ever seen picutres of across the street from the towers you would see where she was living on the day of the attack.

I am just really sorry for the people who followed and believed in him and lived in squalor while he was living it up in the mansion.

Pray that there won't be repercussions against Americans living overseas. When the US invaded Afghanistan, we were living in the southern Philippines, which is a largely Muslim area, and our NGO made us stay in our houses for a week due to safety concerns.

Martha, that must have been frightening, having first-hand experience of an 'elevated threat level' overseas. I truly hope all will be well - peace to those far and near.

Hey all-

Yes it was a great accomplishment for Obama, the defense department and the SEALS. Congratulations ! I am proud of all of them.

I am however very, very, very concerned. These people have a long, long, history of never giving up a grudge or were ever forgiving.

I hope not! but the retaliation could be far worse than anything we have ever seen.

Yes! I am waiting for the other shoe to drop

I too am very concerned over repercussions and hopefully they will not come. However, I am forever the optimist.
