Wow, that was one hot drive! I was stuck at the border crossing for an hour in the HOT HOT sun! Traffic through Seattle was insane. I arrived at Jill's house at 5:30 - I left my house just past noon. Good thing Jill wasn't home until 6. I had time to find a store and grab some cold ones. I got Jill both the Pepsi and Dr. Pepper 'cause she doesn't drink...well, booze anyway!

The last time I was here - last summer - she was just moving in to her place. There were boxes everywhere and it was a disaster (as most moves are). This place is so wonderful now, it has JILL written all over it.

BTW I missed any and all Bambis.

Love the world traveller, Peggy

p.s. Jill says "Hi everybody!"

Wow! That sucks on the border crossing. I reckon that's one of the reasons why I'll never be an international traveler.

 on the Bambi issue.

Have fun, ya'll.

Hi Peg and Jill

Have a wonderful time. I've been so busy getting ready for my camping trip I haven't had time to make that phone call you asked me to, Peg. I'll try to do it in the morning before we go - I don't expect we'll get out of here before 11:00am.

Yeah - a holiday.

Love - Momster

Hiya..."What Happens in Tacoma, stays in Tacoma" ....that is the theme for the weekend! However, I will tell you that we had a great time at Mt Rainier! We drove to Sunrise.....and couldn't even find a place to park! It is a gorgeous day here and the mountain was "out" in full glory. Then we drove to Longmire and were running out of time, so we skipped Paradise. We're back home for a pit stop and rest before we head to Harbor Lights for dinner. Yum! :hungry: Afterwards, we both agreed that we need to go for a walk...too much time sitting in the car....!!!!!!!

Will write more soon...wish you were here....

Pegster is gone! :ciao:  It is sure quiet around here...we had such a nice visit! :coffee: The weekend went too quickly.... I made her promise to write when she got home.....I hope the traffic is better for her today. There is a Mariner's game in Seattle, but hopefully she will miss the back-up. :driving: My cat Shilo even liked her...as much as my cat likes anyone....Shilo is sort of a kooky cat.

Well, better get busy....TTFN...JJ

I'm home, safe and sound. The trip home only took three and a half hours. Seattle was a breeze - especially compared to what it was on Friday! Only about fifteen minutes at the border!

Jill, yes the weekend did go by too quickly - but it sure was FUN! :bandevil:

Must get unpacked and get that good ole' USA beer in the fridge.

Hugz,

Hi Pegster....glad you made it home safely....

I went out to search for the perfect digital camera...Target had the one that was in the news paper ad, but the sales clerk talked me into getting the Kodak Easy Share bundle instead...much easier to use he said....of course they were out of them, so I headed out to the Target in Lakewood...south of Tacoma.....thay had one left. So, now I have to figure out how to use the darn thing....!

I bet Buster is happy to have you home...and hubby too...take care kiddo...JJ

Shilo misses her Auntie Pegster..... :cat: She has been my model tonight...I took her pic with the new camera and even managed to print out some pics on the new photo printer... Tomorrow, I will be brave and try to connect the camera to the computer  One step at a time!

Pegster, I talked to my neighbor and the 3 year old neighbor girl you met last night (Riley) is having a kidney removed on Tuesday... She had heart surgery a year ago, and will also have a glass eye put in eventually. ...She is blind in that eye. The neighbor also said that Riley has a syndrome of some kind...can't remember the name of it, but it isn't Turner's. (My niece has Turner's) Anyway, that is it for the neighborhood gossip...Please keep little Riley and her parents in your hearts this week....TTFN...JJ
