Shopping, Penguins, Letterboxing, Italian Dinner, Now Home

So that sums up today. Ran some errands this morning. Then my parents too Geoff, the kids and I to March of the Penguins. Really neat movie. And how well it portrays the length and isolation of their lives/journeys. Then we took the kids out letterboxing (which is a rather fun hobby where people hid boxes with stamps in them out in the woods, or a park or whatever, and you get clues off the internet and go find their box, stamp theirs with your stamp, and stamp a book of your own with their stamp). Then we took Geoff's parents out to dinner.

Very nice day, capped with a soak in the hot tub, a cup of blueberry pie filling (mom tried to make me gf pie for my b-day and the crust didn't work, so she cooked just the filling and gave that to me).

Hope you all also had good days. Here's to one more on the weekend.

Hi Katy. Sounds like a wonderful day! Do you have a link where I can find more information on letterboxing? It might be fun the next time my grandchildren visit. Thanks!

Love,
Carrie

Katy!! Are you kidding? The heck with the grandkids!!! I would love to do this myself. I have already found some letterboxes on the Internet right here in Wilsonville where I live!! What a great way to get this old granny out in the woods.

Thanks for the Website. I am going to study on this and see how it works. I know just about right where the first letterbox is. I will have to think about where to put one of my own. I am going to go on a drive in the country to find my horse place today so I will look around while I am doing that.

What an idea!!

Love,

Sally

Sounds like a fun day Katy! Letterboxing sounds like fun. I've never heard of it before!
