Monday
Wow is today a Monday or what? I have been running around like crazy since I got to work this morning, today is a short day anyway because we have a staff meeting and writing seminar this afternoon, and I am only working 4 days so must cram everything in. Then late Thursday I'm off for Boston where friday I will board a plane for Hawaii!
Then this morning, Geoff left me a message that his mom had fallen and was going to the hospital. No more info known at this time...he'll call. I hate waiting! Nothing I could do if I was there anyway. So if you all can keep her and her husband (who is very dependant on her) in your prayers....
Back to work...just started the task I thought I'd start at 8 this morning when I realized I was hungry and since I get to feeling like crap so quickly when I get hungry and don't eat, I got my lunch.
Katy (do we have a smilie for frazzled?)

I can't sympathize with the Monday thingy today...but boy will I catch it tomorrow I took today as a vacation day so I could catch up after gallavanting around the USA all weekend. I actually slept in! I got up early and then said to myself "Self - get thy tush back in bed!" and I had no choice but to listen - I can be pretty bossy at times!
I sure hope it gets better Katy - just count down them hours to your trip.

Well, the good news is that what she broke was her upper left arm in 3 places and it realigned itself so at this point she is not looking at surgery. She will see the orthopedist every week for the next 4 weeks to make sure it is staying aligned. She is in a sling...no cast. She is right handed, and can still walk around. So, if you break something, I guess that is a good situation to be in.
Geoff and I'll make sure they have food in the house. Geoff's dad can cook some stuff (his vision makes it hard to do a lot) but they'll manage. All 3 of their kids live in town, so that is helpful too although I think Geoff does the most for them in general. The middle son is really busy with work right now, and the oldest is fairly self centered.

Katy,
I'm glad it wasn't worse. I have to agree with you--if you're going to break something, that's about as good as it gets.
It's also good to see that you're going to be making that trip to Hawaii, after all.
This one looks a little bit frazzled:
Now you see how tough it can be, trying to deal with a redhead.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

I'm nervous about being away from home right now with the health issues of the summer, but at the same time I know I can't not go and live in fear. I've been fine since June, I get my 3rd shot on Wednesday before I go, so there should be no problems of that nature. I've got a lot to get done at work before I go, and I'm usually exhausted by the end of the day, so I know by Thursday night I will be too tired to want to travel, but I can sleep on the bus, and then the plane. It will be okay.
Got the new flag patch sewn on my uniform (aparently the old one flew the wrong way ) tonight. Now I need to get laundry done and pack. At least packing for a summer trip to Hawaii isn't too hard!
