Hi All,
I just thought that I'd better mention that if you come here and find the board closed, it's not because we've been invaded, or the program has crashed, (at least I hope that hasn't happened), but from time to time I may close it in order to upload and install some new features. I'll try to do most of it during times when traffic is slow, but there aren't enough hours in the day sometimes, to get everything done, so please bear with me while we're still getting this thing set up.
I just uploaded a bunch of avatars, hopefully some of them might be useful, and easier than setting up your own. I haven't tried then yet, to see if they actually work. LOL. If you have a special one you want, if you will e-mail it to me, I'll upload it to the gallary, where it should work better than from a remote server, but it probably won't make much difference, as long as your setup is done right.
If you need any help with these, please let me know. You might have to e-mail or PM me, since working on this stuff in the background, I don't actually get to the board very often.
Tex

Hi Tex,
Thanks for mentioning that. I just returned from a couple days away and notice ALOT is happening here and I would have been worried if I couldn't access it. You have a lovely little picture of some texas bird on your post, thanks to aviator. Lannie was wondering about that.
Once things settle down, you will have some time to just 'hang"on the board- you must be overwhelmed with all the techie stuff but know your up to the task. You have a great group behind you.
Love,
Joanna

Joanna, Lannie, and Shirley,
That is indeed a roadrunner, (which, strange as it seems to me, at least), is one of two large cuckoos of the genus Geococcyx, found mostly in arid regions of the western U.S., Mexico, and Central America. I don't live in an arid region, (average rainfall 35 inches per year), but these birds have been common in Central Texas for as long as I have been on this planet, and presumably they have been here since long before then.
Love,
Tex
P S Joanna, I remember reading somewhere that Lannie asked about having an avatar with her picture on it. If you will e-mail me a picture, I'll create an avatar and upload it to the gallary so that she can use it.
