Stool vs Blood Test for Celiac

Post by wjwb »

I have a question. I had both the blood and stool test for celiac as part of my diagnostic barrage of tests and both were negative. Is one test more "sensitive" than the other? Or are both about the same? On another note, I got pissed off over this diagnosis, went into a bit of denial and ate pizza and coca-cola for dinner last night. I paid for it this morning. But I gotta admit, it sure was tasty.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.

As I have said in earlier posts to other members, I do not have wisdom to offer. I do, however, want to comment on your statement on going out and eating pizza and coke. I've done that myself. Paid big time!

I see you are new to this site also. You will find a lot of wisdom, encouragement, and compassionate people here.
