I see this alot on the posts here.
people writing that if you pass 56 days after being off entocort and have no symptoms then you may be home free.........
i am wondering where does this 56 days come from???

As I recall, Joanna originally came up with that "rule of thumb". I have no idea where she got it, but it seems to be reasonably reliable. Maybe see will see your post and respond.

I remember this discussion. The reasoning was that after all Entocort has left the body, the relapse happens. It apparently takes that long.
FWIW, I stopped Entocort for 11 weeks in 2010 but had to restart it. I also was gluten-free during that time even though I was diagnosed as NOT a celiac. Being gluten-free seems to have given me more time off Entocort.
