I wish I had worn a daiper.....

This is a life-altering, frustrating, disgusting, and humbling disease, but if nothing else, it teaches humility.

I wish I had worn a daiper.....

Post by Lesley »

I went for a short walk, 1/2 an hour. I have tried to build it up, but that's all I can manage.

Somewhere around 10 minutes before I got to access to a toilet, down by our pool I felt the familiar pressure and something happening. When I got to the bathroom sure enough, there it was. My nemesis. Why, oh why couldn't it have stayed inside till I got back?

That was the second time for me trying to walk. Our elevator isn't working (as usual) so I had to climb the stairs. That time there was a HUGE smelly mess. There was a man standing by the elevator, so I hid behind some cars till he had gone up in the elevator, and only went up after, PRAYING no one would get in. Then I febrezed the elevator, and cleaned me up.

Nope, it's no fun. I am a year into it. A little relief would be nice.

Sorry Lesley. That's what tends to keep me close to home. It's just no fun.

Been there, Lesley, you are not alone. Yeah, a little relief - especially in your case - would be nice. Sorry you are so miserable, my friend.

Oh Lesley, you are in good company.

Been there, done that. No fun at all. Once I cut loose with my son in the car while waiting for the school bus. Another time I had to squat by the side of the road at the entrance to my community in broad daylight. Sally Read, our original founder of this website, pooped in the lobby of the university library where she worked. You can imagine her embarrassment, especially when they sent in a fully-costumed HAZMAT team to clean it up. It goes with the territory, unfortunately. Have you used Depends? They help in these situations.

Love,

Polly

Thanks all! I know everyone here understands.
I know the embarrassment. And the nuisance of it. One time I was sleeping on the couch and pooped in my sleep. The couch has never been the same

Lesley along the lines of this topic... About 8 months ago I had to go so bad that I rushed into work and parked in the Directors parking space near the front door so I could rush into the bathroom by the lobby at work (I barely made it).... Mind you I work at one of the premier research labs in the world (about 3k employees) and the director does not have a sense of humor....

That's one of the days I could have used one of those bathroom ID cards :-).

Fortunately I did not get caught

Oh, the stories we all have of this.......I could go on for hours in my occupation where I often had/have NO bathroom available other than a porta-potty waaay far away or a bathroom inside a house when I'm in the garage and can't enter the house cause they're rolling sound inside. We have no dignity, we are the bottom feeders - so who are our bottoms feeding, anyway?

ROFLMAO!

You guys make it almost worth it to be this sick. And right now I am really sick. That tiny little piece of corn crisp did me in. And it won't quit! This is a veritable flare!

I wonder if the anesthetic when they did my biopsy could have triggered this?

Oh the stories we have here. I have had a number of "accidents" and never in a convenient place. Worse one was being stopped by a police officer for a tail light out and it was back in the beginning of mc and the stress just got to me and went right there while sitting in the car. Can laugh now but not then.

I need to do some studying on mast issues. I think my seasonal allergies are wreaking havoc on my GI symptoms right through the Allegra. That's the only explanation I have for having an accident yesterday, the first time in many months. Thankfully, I was standing in my own kitchen. I thought about everyone having to deal with this in a public place as I was cleaning up.
