Pepto protocol

Sorry if this goes through twice, but my computer is doing goofy things, such as just re-posting my first post. Gotta love computers. anyways does any one know if you can use liquid pepto instead of chewables for lymphocytic colitis. If so what is the best dosage to use. My GI says 3 chewables 3x daily, but I've read others who use 16 chewables a day. Just wondering.

My first GI told me to take 2 pepto tablets 4 times a day. Not sure about the liquid.

I took 2 caplets 3 times a day. I never could take 8. I did not tolerate the chewable tablets, because they are full of calcium carbonate, which causes bloating and gas. Not to mention chewing 6 pink pills a day was gross!! The liquid has a couple more unsavory ingredients.
