D3 brands

Post by Nancy »

Can anyone do some name dropping on brands of vitamin D3 to use that don't have soy in them? The one we have now from Walgreens has soy so I quit taking it.

I use Vitamin D3 from Sprouts. It's their own brand. It contains "no artificial colors, flavors or preservatives, no wheat, gluten, milk, eggs, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, crustacean shellfish or fish."

The drawback is that you have to have a Sprouts store in your area.

Freeda vitamins (www.freedavitamins.com) has several strengths of vitamin D3: 400, 1,000, 3,000 and 5,000 IUs. I buy the 1,000 and the 3,000 and adjust my dosage according to the season. They are free of all allergens.

I use Carlson liquid D3, only other ingredient is MCT oil (from coconut and palm), 1000 mg per drop.

I use the NOW brand because I can get it locally. It is pretty "pure" compare to any others and you can see that I can not tolerate much. I am sure the Freeda brand would be perfect as well.

Another vote for Carlson. I buy the Solar Gems 4000IU at Vitamin Shoppe and Whole Foods, but you can order online from Amazon, Drugstore.com and others.
Ingredients: Natural Lemon Flavor, Softgel Shell (beef gelatin, glycerin, sorbitol, water)
Very reasonably priced too.
