Got Entero Lab results today :(
anti-gliadin IgA 34 units, cow's milk IgA 12 units, chicken egg 33 units, and soy 12 units. The mean value of the 11 antigenic foods was 10 units. Most reactivity to rice, corn, oat and almond. Intermediate reactivity to chicken and no significant reactivity to tuna, white potato, beef, cashew, pork, or walnut. For grains, most reactive to rice, intermediate reactive to corn and least to oat. Of the meats mot reactive to chicken. And nuts mot reactive to almonds.
I was surprised I had the gluten reaction as I was pretty sure I was gluten free. But it was down from my 2006 test of100.5. Also the cow's milk was down from 2006 when it was 52. I see I must give up my eggs for breakfast every morning. Now what to eat? No more almond meal baked goods either and I bought that in the 25 pound box when following the SCDiet. Live will need to change. I am so glad for this sight, by the way, as you all feel my pain and sympathize to some degree. I know, grieve, and get on with eating what I need to in order to heal :)

Several of us have had to give up eggs, and it makes having breakfast a challenge, but not impossible.Nancy wrote:I see I must give up my eggs for breakfast every morning. Now what to eat?
Some have completely changed the way they look at the morning meal. They'll have leftovers from dinner, for example, or ham and sweet potatoes, smoothies, etc. Because you can eat potatoes, you can have hash browns in with any type of sausage you can eat. Cereal is another option, providing you can drink a non-dairy milk. Waffles and pancakes with sausage are doable if you can find a GF flour mix you can use.
It's interesting that you're still showing antibodies to "the big four" in spite of avoiding them for so long.
Good luck with coming up with new menu plans. Leslie has some similar restrictions to you - I'm sure she'll have some suggestions, too.

You never know what you can do until you have to do it.
Nancy, your results are similar to mine. It's very challenging. There are no cereals you can eat when rice and corn off the menu, but oats are a good substitute. Udi makes a lovely oat granola - nothing but honey toasted oats. It's way cheaper, though, and very easy to make your own.
My favorite was always granola with yogurt, but coconut milk makes a good substitute.
If you can eat sweet potatoes you are lucky indeed! I hope so!

Not the greatest results Nancy especially when you have been avoiding gluten. Options are there as previously suggested and I am sure you will find quite a number of alternatives - though not the conventional breakfast.
