Hi All,
Apparently USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is proposing to remove the preservatives sodium benzoate, sodium propionate, and benzoic acid from the list of prohibited substances for use in meat or poultry products. Here's the notice that will appear in the May 7 Federal Register:
