Does Norman = Healing???

Post by kitty16 »

Hi,

To recap gastro has started me on 30mg of prednisone and 9mg entocort I'm still having 6+ BM's a day(which is a slight improvement) but not the improvement I was led to believe I would have. However yesterday all BM's turned into Normans. Does this mean the medicine is working? Will I begin to get improvement in the going to much area??

Its a shame I will have to start the dreaded prep for colonoscopy on Thursday so all Normans are going to stop anyway.

I appreciate all information the people on the site have provided me.

Thank you so much

Hi K,
I have no experience with prednisone but found with the budesonide, my WD turned to 1-2 normans after 2.5 weeks and then went to the other extreme of C, which is when I tapered down. I would say it's working for you!

Hi K

I wish you the best of luck. I took prednisone for over 6 months & had horrible side effects. I'm taking entocort now & depending on diet changes to make the difference. I hope you find some relief soon.
