I read the abstract for the original research article a few months ago (it was published in mid-March) and decided that was probably an irrelevant discovery, but I'll bet that someone will try to capitalize on it to develop a drug that might utilize that function of the goblet cells to promote improved tolerance. That may prove to be a tough project to bring to fruition, though.

yeah I am on a celiac email list and every month they send a few articles...
Another one was along the lines of 'you know a person has celiac when...' and it made me so mad! It wasn't even slightly funny to me.
