Is this a MC reaction or something else?
I have been very blessed not to have experienced many problems with MC. However, last night after I had come home from a church function, I started to to feel off. I went to bed, shivering with cold and couldn't seem to get warm. My skin hurt! Especially my arms and legs which were sensitive to the touch. My heartbeat stayed around 100 for about four hours before it calmed down. Now, this morning my stomach is gurgling, a bit upset, and I have had two normans, but soft. My arms and legs still ache, but not as bad. Btw, my temp was low, not high.
Now, is this a MC reaction? Or do you guys think it was more of a "bug"? Does anyone here get a MC reaction of shivering with cold and skin sensitivity?
Thanks for any help!

That's possible with a major leaky gut episode. It sounds more like a virus, but the lack of a fever appears to be a confounding factor.Mandy wrote:Does anyone here get a MC reaction of shivering with cold and skin sensitivity?
Did you by any chance make any major changes in a hormonal treatment program recently?
Tex
It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Tex, I didn't make any major changes in hormone therapy, but about 3 weeks ago my PA upped my DHEA and pregnenolone a notch. I have noticed since then, that my body seems more inclined to want to have a cycle. Too much HRT? Who knows.
I am inclined to think this might be a bit of a bug, because the only time I have ever felt these symptoms (sensitive skin), hot and cold, and achey legs are when I was coming down with the flu. I just found out that the girl I gave a ride to yesterday, was feeling ill the weekend before, so possibly that is it?
Anyway, I had never heard of anyone having shivers or extremely sensitive skin reactions to MC, so I wasn't sure why I was having these symptoms.
Guess time will tell, as it always does, how I will feel in the next 24-48 hours.
Thanks!
