eye redness
I don't know how long I may have had this but, i noticed this morning that I have a long thin red spider vein going down the whole side of my right eye ball. In the white of the eye. I havent been crying or itching my eye area so what could this be from? I know a few are normail but, this just doesnt look right to me. I don't wear contacts, I wear glasses. I do work at a computer everyday so, maybe that's the cause?

Hi Deb~ I don't have the crustiness with my CPAP like I do without it, and another friend who went on a CPAP the same time I did last year remarked on the same thing. I wonder if you are having allergy issues at night?

I feel like the queen of eye issues even though technically (according to a slew of doctor's) there's nothing wrong with them. My eyes are bloodshot to varying degrees all the time along with burning and general eyeball pain. It sounds dumb but sometimes it just hurts to see. I have always worn contacts but for the past year I am very limited to if I can even wear them and primarily wear my glasses now. I also have the grittiness in my eyes at times. I work in front of the computer all day too which puts added strain on them. I've tried the natural tears eyedrops and they feel good but don't really help any. This may not be the same problem that you're experiencing but I feel like I should have some good party story to share with co-workers because my eyes are bloodshot and glassy pretty much everyday so it looks like I'm recovering from a bad hangover.
I don't think I'd be able to do the lasik. I'd rather see my OBGYN than get my eyes checked. I've worn soft contact since I was 13. If I actually felt better wearing my glasses I'd believe that the problem is with wearing contacts. My eyes never feel comfortable or normal so wearing contacts just aggravates my already sensitive eyes. It seems ridiculous to say food makes my eyes hurt but I'm lacking a better reason. I'm hoping in time this will go away or become more tolerable and less intrusive to my life. It does take a toll on my self esteem even though I know better.
