PP Ambassador and his assistant

Post by nancyl »

We got to spend the afternoon with JoeF and his able assistant, Nestle. I'm sure he'll post some photos of his weeks vacation with Nestle and camera. He took some great shots while we were out.

We took Nestle on a little hike through fields and woods. She really enjoyed it. She is a beautiful dog and so well behaved. I think my DH was ready to keep her. They sure did take a liking to each other. She kept giving him hugs. We had a BBQ and just enjoyed a wonderful relaxing lazy summer day. Perfect weather.

Nice to have company that can eat the way I do.

Nancy,

That was my reaction to having Joe as a guest. Great company, great dog, and someone who eats like me. What a relief. Glad you had a good day.

Nancy & Ted thanks for a great day and an incredible meal, topped off with the BEST chocolate chip cookies I have ever had, GF or not. These were GF,SF, DF cookies and I'm savoring the last few that Nancy sent me home with.

We had a great day and a great visit with another PP member and her husband Ted. Truly a great day.

You know between the meal with Nancy & Ted, the great lamb with kale with Jean, or the many many great meals with Gabes last year and the restaurant safe meals with Jenny, Zizzle and of course the piles of Maryland crabs with Polly & Scott...I would like to say thanks to each one you for your hospitality and sharing your lives and great cooking talents, it truly has been a great experience these past many months.

Here are a few photos from today (I know big surprise Joe took pictures LOL) .... Although I think Nestlé has adopted Ted and Nancy as her new family...

Note to Gabes, Ted wore his 'Australian' hat in your and our other Aussie friends honor.

Joe,
The photo of Nestle hugging Ted makes me laugh. Even though MC is a horrible thing to have, I must say that because of it, the new friends I have made both on this forum and in person has been a gift. I hope to meet more in person in the future.

Nancy,
You look like you've put on some weight. Your face is more filled out. I am a little jealous.

The pictures look great and Nestle seems to be in her glory.

Gloria, I have put on a few pounds. Hate to say it, but couldn't do it without Imuran and the N.A.E.T. treatments, which has helped me to tolerate a lot more foods. I am still GF, DF, and SF. Although, a little soy and diary and I mean very little, does not bother me and I am able to eat eggs again.

Lesley, the cookie recipe comes from the book "gluten-Free baking classics" by Annalise G. Roberts using Authentic Foods brand flour. Both Annalise and Authentic Foods have websites that you can visit. I also use Spectrum organic vegetable shortening, which is so light. The cookies are amazing and like Joe said, I think even better than toll house.

Thank you for the kind compliments.

There is an Authentic Foods chocolate chip cookie mix you can buy at Whole Foods. Yum! In fact, I just made them!
Off to munch on a GF cookie!

Mandy,
Did they have the Authentic Food's flour at Whole Foods? Which Whole Foods to you go to?

I can only find it in a health food store here.
