Many of us here have switched to coconut oil. It is interesting to see the many ways coconut oil can be used. My daughter has been buying it in 5 gallon pails for several years. I am ready to order a larger quantity but I don't think it will be a 5 gallon pail.

If you haven't seen Wellness Mama's home page and checked out her website, I suggest you do so. She is right on target with her healthy topics and Paleo food recipes. (I mentioned this previously)
In addition to her food recipes, she also has recipes for oral health, natural cleaning, natural first aid, herb profiles, natural beauty & toiletry, motherhood and children, fitness and gardening

I've really enjoyed this site since you first posted it Charlotte. I love the oral health ideas. I just got some charcoal for teeth whitening. We'll see how it works. I also got the stuff to make homemade wipes, which I'm sharing with my daughter. (I learned the hard way not to use a serrated knife to cut the paper towels in half). I did have a concern with her recommendation for lavender oil in the wipes. There are some thoughts that lavender oil can interfere with kids' hormones. I sent her a note and link about that. I like her sunscreen ideas too. That's next on my list. My grands usually use just a bit of coconut oil unless they're out for a full day. Her recipe contains zinc oxide for a bit more protection if necessary. I last bought my coconut oil in a gallon pail and I've had it for over a year but I've found I keep finding more uses for it.
