Tex...need a tip
OK my old age is gonna come out here and I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this in front of others.....but of course I couldn't figure out how to send you a personal message to ask this. But I can NOT, no matter what I try, get a pic to come out small enough to put in my profile instead of that generic symbol. Also....I can't figure out how to make it show the American flag for my location?? I selected United States but that's not what it shows. The IP address thing I left blank because I didn't know what to put in there. I'd like to look cool like the others but this much involvement on the computer is a bit much for me to figure out. I could build you a house but I can't get a pic to come out right!!!! hahahaha

Hi Cathy,
No problem, just attach an image file to an email and send it to me. I'll be happy to re-size it and upload it so that it can be added to your profile.
It works best if you send an image file that hasn't been reduced to a small size, because it's easy to reduce the size of an image file to make an avatar, but if the image should need to be increased in some way, and it's already too small, that can't be done without losing quality.
You can send me an email by clicking on the "email" button at the bottom of this post. Likewise, you can send me a PM by clicking on the "pm" button, but you can't attach an image file to a PM, so an email is the best choice for that job.
To send an email or PM to someone else on the board, just click on the appropriate button at the bottom of one of their posts, and the system will open up an appropriate window where you can compose your message, and when you're finished, all you have to do is click on the "submit" button to send it to them.
The Country of choice flag is the only one you can control. The Country IP flag is automatically selected by the system, each time you log on, based on the IP address of the computer being used to log on. Sometimes when a member is traveling, it's interesting to see how the flag changes as she or he travels to various countries.
The flag being displayed in your profile means that the system doesn't recognize the IP address that you're using, for some reason or other. It may be using an obsolete list.

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
