Hi All,
This applies to anyone who bought a digital version of my book prior to the nineteenth of September (one week ago). The earlier versions left a lot to be desired, especially on an iPad. I've finally figured out how to reformat a book properly so that it displays correctly on digital devices. I took a crash course in digital publishing, and then I went back and started over and formatted the book specifically for viewing on digital devices. The iPad uses the EPUB format, whereas Kindle uses the MOBI format.
I sent an EPUB file to Joe, and he was kind enough to check it out and verify that it works correctly on his iPad. Sooooooooo, Jenny and Christine, I'm going to send you the same EPUB file of the book as an attachment to an email. If you should happen to have any problems loading it into your iPad, I'm sure that Joe can offer tips on how to resolve any issues with that.
Anyone else here who bought a Kindle version of the book before that date, I'll be happy to send you the proper digitally-formatted file, so that it will work correctly on your device.
Please let me know that you would like to have an upgraded copy, and tell me whether you bought the straight Kindle version, or the Kindle version for iPad. If you have an iPad, the EPUB version that I have for the iPad should be superior to the Kindle version on an iPad, (or the Kindle version on a Kindle, for that matter), but the EPUB version won't work on a Kindle.
Incidentally, if anyone intends to buy a digital version for an iPad at some point in the future, I would recommend that you either buy it from Smashwords.com, or from the Apple ebookstore (ibooks or whatever they call it), because that way you will be able to get a version formatted correctly for an iPad, rather than having to use a Kindle converter on an iPad.
If you have a Nook, a digital version for the Nook (and virtually any other brand of digital reader) is listed at Smashwords.com, and it should be available at Barnes & Noble within a few days or so.
Sorry it took me so long to get all my ducks in a row. There's more to this stuff than meets the eye, and the requirements of the various digital devices are all different.
Tex

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
