EVERY NIGHT!
I take my nexium and an hour later I take my meds. 10 minutes later - heartburn, nausea. I feel so bad for about an hour. Then it wears off and I can fall asleep.
I am just about off everything, but there are a couple I still have to take. I thought it was the glutamine, the potassium and the calcium powders so I stopped taking them at night. They don't do it in the morning. It doesn't help.

Lesley,
Check the drugs you are taking on this site to see if they might be causing any interactions with the Nexium:

It is suspected that some of the hardest material known to science can be found in the skulls of GI specialists who insist that diet has nothing to do with the treatment of microscopic colitis.
Actually, apple cider vinegar is a relatively mild acid. Pure apple cider vinegar has a pH that ranges between 4.25 and 5.0. Normal stomach acid pH ranges from 1.5 to 3.5. Remember, the higher the pH, the weaker the acid. That means that if apple cider vinegar seems to help, then your stomach acid pH would have to be way too high, (above 5.0) and Betaine HCL would probably help.
I agree with Gabes. PPIs interfere with the absorption of medications in general, so taking them first tends to weaken the effectiveness of anything taken afterwards (within several hours or more).

Lesley, have you tried the acid testing yet I posted for Monique? That really would be the quickest and easiest way to tell your stomach acid status. I hate to see you suffer for so long.Lesley wrote:The only one is ...vitamin D3! Otherwise I am not on any of those.
I take apple cider vinegar to increase acid. I am STILL getting the reaction. It drives me crazy! An hour of misery every night.
