SANTANA!!!!!

Post by Sally »

Well, did I ever get a surprise last night! No, Carlos did not come to the house. But Mike and Brenda got me a ticket to his concert tonight!! Here in Portland. That is a pretty good excuse for missing the chat tonight, I think. We are all going out to dinner before the concert and then I am spending the night at M and B's since it will be late and I will be trashed and won't want to be driving home at that hour. I am really excited about this since Santana was one of the musicians I grew up on. There is a huge group of us all going which is a good enough surprise all by itself.

The :festive: last night was great. Both grandkids came and a few other people I didn't expect, but was glad to see and, of course, THE DOG. She is a Standard Poodle and they do not keep her trimmed so she looks like a big black bear. She is very protective of Korben and Brice. They are HER toys, thank you very much. The family was here except for John, but he is coming up in two weeks so that will be fine.

We had Chinese food and Derrick made me a cake and we made a mess out of the kitchen and there are kid toys all over the yard and we have finally found something useful to do with all the golf balls that keep flying into the garden. The kids (which includes THE DOG) just love to bounce them and chase them.

Believe it or not, there came another golf ball onto the front patio even as I wrote the above. I can't believe this place!!

Lots of love,

Sally
