A little mystery and a little progress

Post by Nettie »

Hi, was wondering if anybody else has had this experience or know if it means anything to the overall outcome of CC --- hubby and I were sitting around talking this morning and I discovered that the biopsies done on Colonoscopy and Endo were NOT because of D. At that point there was only extreme discomfort in the abdomen, extremely heavy fullness feeling, distention etc. but no D !! The D started after the procedures and biopsy and I guess I thought it would resolve itself based on that.

Was wondering how and when other people noticed their D and if anybody's D only showed up after their procedure/biopsy?

The progress - a few weeks ago I tried leaving off the loperamide (I take 2 mg every morning around 5 or 6 a.m.) and by noon I was having such awful D that I broke down and took a loperamide and then it stopped.

Again today I tried leaving out the loperamide and right now it is about 9 pm E.T. and so far there has been no D !!! Today's food has been plain grits, one egg fried in coconut, a few popcorn chips with seasalt and cooked in sunflower oil, mashed potatoes, pintos, a coconut water and some milk and honey nut chex as a desert.

If tonight is quiet, I will leave it out again tomorrow and see what happens. I really would like to get off of it if possible.

For anybody in the Sandy storm's path, stay safe...
